We proudly champion Bristol based artists such as:
Lee Ellis, is a British multi-media artist with a degree in Graphic Design from the University of the West of England. With his expressive and bold style, Ellis is not afraid to tackle the tortured expression. His work portrays everyday life with distortion, emotion and passion.
Using inspiration from old photographs of (mostly) working class people in everyday street scenes and depicts the moods of the people. Using only oils to create these portraits, Morton’s techniques of pulling and pushing manipulates the paint to forefront the paintings and working over the piece multiple times, adding and scrapping away layers creates spaces from which each portrait is formed.
There is a lot more that meets the eyes with Ashley, having qualified as a physiotherapist; she is far from your typical artist. Throughout her time working within the pharmaceutical industry, she found the time and unrelenting passion for creating. Ashley’s flare for abstract acrylic painting and pen drawings.
Cogdell believes that art provides a space for people to pause, question, reconnect and expand their own selves. Her portraits portray unsaid moments and unseen thoughts and create both thoughtful and sensitive work to represent this and the journey of life we all experience.
