There are a few Michelin starred restaurants, we offer afternoon tea if you’re after a classy affair and there are many great brunch spots across the city, many of which can be enjoyed bottomless!
You’ll be spoilt for choice at your Bristol stag do. If you want classic stag do there are activities such as go-karting, paintballing, blind driving, clays & off-road buggies and many more. However, if you’re after something a little unique the city has options for that too! You could try Go ape, an Adventure day, Mendip outdoor pursuits or our best offer the West Country Games. Much like London suburbs, Bristol has lots of smaller areas which each have a unique vibe and community. Your stag and hen party itinerary and route choices may depend on what sort of vibe you’re after. You may be starting in Clifton at one of our hotels; nestled up high in our hilly city you’ll be overlooking the docks. Clifton is home to quaint Georgian streets filled with boutique shops and arcades to explore. However, at night, this charming area comes to life. The cobbled alleyways of the city are packed with more than just character – hidden pubs, taverns and secret cocktail bars are never more than a stone’s throw away!
A stroll down buzzy Park Street will lead you to the Harbourside, Bristol’s answer to a booze cruise! All along the waterfront, you can sample craft beers and potent locally brewed ciders – in particular, Kings Street which is known as the ‘Beermuda triangle.’ Across the shopping, quarter is gay-friendly Old Market is another great bohemian area renowned for a cheap pint. Stokes Croft and Gloucester Road are more quirky locations which house several of Banksy’s works. Gloucester Road is the longest independent shopping street in Europe and the street is also dotted with some of Bristol’s best bars and restaurants. You can start at the far end and make your way into the centre of town, with the option to stop off at as many venues as you fancy on your journey down!
The city centre is pretty compact and you can mainly get around on foot (heels or not!) and see the sites as you go. However, if you’re nursing a hangover or fancy a day trip further out of the city the transport links are great, we offer a cycle the city tour, also buses and trains run across and out of the city – Bristol has the oldest operating train station in the world so we’ve had lots of time to ensure we have rail lines all across the country!
Luckily for you, whether your stag or hen do is in winter or summer you won’t be missing out, there are fantastic events in Bristol all year round. So no matter when you’re visiting there’s almost guaranteed to be an event or two on for you to explore. In May Bristol hosts Love Saves The Day, which is filled with up and coming UK talent and well-known headliners. June is when Bristol puts on Let’s Rock which is an 80’s festival hosting some of the icons of the decade Bristol Pride is also on during this month! In July there’s St Pauls Carnival a free carnival with music, processions and performers. There is also the Bristol Foodie Festival and Bristol Harbourside Festival. In August is Bristol’s iconic Balloon Fiesta, which if you can hack the 6am start will give you the most amazing view of Bristol dotted with balloons along the skyline at dawn!
