Lucky for you we are right around the corner from the University of Bristol with some excellent hotels and restaurants to ensure your transition into Uni life is as smooth as possible.

Welcome Week

Last year the Bristol SU ran around 150 events as part of Welcome Week and though this year is a little different, you’ll find a great mix of online social events. Here’s our top 5 welcome events this autumn.

1. The Bristol SU Welcome Fair (7 October 2020, 1:00PM)

The biggest event of the year has nearly 400 societies ready to meet you and dozens of brands giving away amazing deals for new students. This year the Fair is being taken online, so you can sign up for everything you fancy from the comfort of your home.

2. Welcome 2020 Official Launch Party (20 Aug 2020, 8:00PM)

Join Bristol legend DJ Cheeba for an exclusive Bristol themed DJ set to celebrate the start of Welcome 2020! You’ll get to see a progressive audio-visual representation of our much loved city so you can enjoy the sights and sounds of Bristol from your own sofa. Sit back, relax and enjoy the show! This event will take place on Facebook Live.

3. Starter for 10 Netflix Watch Party (27 Aug 2020, 8:00pm)

Watch the classic British comedy-drama starring James McAvoy as a Bristol University student who wins a place on the University Challenge quiz team. Find some popcorn and a comfy seat to get settled in for the evening. Download the chrome extension ‘Netflix Party’.

4. Big Fat Bristol Quiz (03 Sep 2020, 8:00pm)

It’s time to get to know your new city! Join your future flatmates for a Bristol themed quiz where you can win prizes for your new flat. This event will be held via Facebook Live and you can buy your ticket here.

5. Chai and Chat (14 Sep 2020, 12:00pm)
