What's On This October
Clown: Eggs-hibition at Bristol Museum and Gallery
Clowns International has been painting the faces of its members on eggs for over 70 years. Each egg is a record of a clown’s unique identity, preserving the unwritten rule that no clown should copy the look of another clown! Discover the origins of clowning and unveil the personal, hilarious and often bizarre stories of the people beneath the colourful exterior. Tumble into the wonderful world of clowning, explore what makes a great clown and step into their gigantic shoes.
This exhibition is part of Circus 250 – a national celebration of 250 years of circus in 2018.
Circus City - Bristol's biennial circus festival - returns from 12-29 October to dazzle and thrill spectators. Families should look out for Race Horse Company’s new show Around - a playful performance that follows the life of a circus troupe. This fun show features a massive banana, juggling, acrobatics, clownery and breakdancing! What's not to like?!
