What’s on in June
Summer is just around the corner and Bristol is gearing up for a full month of festivals, events and fun things to do around the city. Whatever you fancy doing – if it’s a spot of comedy, music or even taking along your dog for some canine-friendly fun, we can guarantee your summer will be off to a sunny start.
Kicking off the summer is Let’s Rock Bristol, the annual retro festival bringing you the best of the 80s. A family friendly festival that’s all wrapped up into one dazzling day, it’s the perfect chance to get the whole family together to enjoy some of the classics. Bring your own picnic or feast on the delicious food options on site and enjoy music from The Human League, Billy Ocean, Mark Almond and many more. Start your festival season right!
Bristol’s rich history and diverse mix of culture is celebrated in this month long festival. The festival aims to educate the wider population on topics such as why people seek sanctuary, supporting integration and tackling the misconceptions that can create hostility. Bringing together communities from across the city, this is a great way to learn, listen and to teach others about the challenges facing refugees and celebrating the contribution that refugees make to the city. Need a good laugh this month? The perfect event is here in the form of Bristol Comedy Garden. Acts include the hilarious Alan Davies, Josh Widdicombe, Milton Jones, Zoe Lyons and many more to make you giggle. Relax with some delicious food and drink from the range of bars at the site – the central location also means it’s the perfect time to explore other parts of Bristol! Have a look at the full line up and see what makes you smile.
Bristol Festival of Nature is celebrating its 15th birthday and this year it’s bigger than ever!
