Brandon Hill Park Playground
This one is not only for the kids, but also features Cabot Tower providing incredible panoramic views of the entire city. Access to both Brandon Hill Park and the tower is free for all. The play area is a dog-free zone and includes a toddler swing, large sandpit, and climbing frame. Bring some snacks of your choice or head to Park Street for some amazing food.
Blaise Castle
An absolute no brainer for a day out, get the gang together (COVID safe of course), have a game of rounder’s, let the kids run wild with a choice of two huge playgrounds, and end your day with a wander through the woods, venture up to Blaise Castle and along the stream. It’s a winner for everyone. BBQs are permitted as long as they’re raised off the ground, so prepare your BBQ favorites ready for some hungry people!
Canford Park Playground
Filled with adventurous climbers, lots of swings, and equipment for toddlers Canford Park is loved by many. Although the park itself is a dog-free zone adults can sit in the café area or on the field opposite. As well as a park there is a lily pond and sunken rose garden with lovely benches surrounding for a chit-chat with family or friends.
St. Andrews Park Playground
A luscious green gem just a short walk from Gloucester Road. The square park is surrounded by lots of grass and trees (very useful if you want to hide from the sun). It’d hugely popular for families due to its children’s play park, paddling pool, and sandpit.
