Spooky Season in Bristol

Pumpkin picking
Grab a wheelbarrow, you’re going pumpkin picking! Whether you’re doing it for the ‘gram or want a day out with the kids, here’s our pick of the best pumpkin patches in and around Bristol.
Farrington Farm Shop Pumpkin Picking Festival
6-29th October
At Farrington, you can pick your own pumpkin, AND carve it! They also have food stalls, a cosy cafe, a popup funfair, and places for the little ones to play. You must pre-purchase a ticket, which start at only £3.
Pumpkin Patch at Avon Valley Adventure and Wildlife Park
Various dates from 30th September-29th October
Grab a wheelbarrow, and get to picking. If you don't fancy getting muddy, you can choose from pre-picked pumpkins (try saying that five times fast) at their display area. Once you've got pumpkins, watch any of their live shows or head to the carnival.
Pumpkin Fest at Noahs Ark Zoo Farm
9th October-5th November
Starting at only £3, you can pick out your own pumkin after a day at the zoo at Noah's Ark. They've got a great birds of prey exibit, for any budding birdwatchers in the family!
Bath Pumpkin Patch
Various dates from 1st-29th October
If you're willing to venture a little further afield, picking pumpkins at the Bath patch is free! Simply grab the pumpkin you want, they're priced based on size.

FEAR at Avon Valley Scream Park
Dates from 13th-31st October
Awarded 'UK's Best Scream Park' in 2019 and 2022, this is an event you don't want to miss. Expect to be terrified, but in a fun way. The park is not recommended for people under the age of 16.

Haunted and Hidden Bristol Walking Tour

Almost two decades after its inception, the Haunted Bristol walking tour is still going strong. You will find out all of the most spooky things from Bristol's past, including Clifton's dwarf highwayman ghost.
The Haunted Hotel at Arnos Manor Hotel
Built in the eighteenth century, Arnos Manor Hotel is very haunted. Stay in one of their most haunted rooms this year and try to make it through the night.
Halloween Activities at Wookey Hole Caves
