There is nothing more beautiful than Bristol in the Summer. Here is our list of the best things to do in Bristol when the sun is shining!
Picnic on Brandon Hill
Just a stone’s throw from our very own Berkeley Square Hotel, Brandon Hill offers gorgeous panoramic views of the city, and plenty of lush grass space to set down a blanket and have a picnic! Brandon Hill is the perfect place to soak in the sun and the city, a hidden oasis in the hustle and bustle of the city centre.
A drink on a terrace
There are places in Bristol where the summer sun hits perfectly, and you could believe you were anywhere in the world! The pergola at Racks Bar and Kitchen, just under the Clifton Hotel, is one of those places. With benches and tables out in the sun and a shaded terrace, you can escape the rays or soak them up, cocktail in hand!
Stroll along the Harbour
Sometimes all you want to do on a warm, bright day is have a pleasant stroll, and Bristol’s Harbour is the best stroll in the city. Walking the full length of the harbour will take less than an hour, and it is such a treat to be by the water. The Harbour boasts some of the most stunning views of Bristol, as well as plenty of places to have a spot of lunch or a coffee.
Games on the Clifton Downs
The Clifton Downs is one of the largest and most beautiful green spaces in Bristol. Situated at the top of Whiteladies Road, it is by no means on the outskirts of Bristol. Given its vastness, even on the busiest summer days, there is room for a few friends to have a kickabout, a game of rounders, or any outdoor game you so desire! The downs are a versatile area, perfect for any summer activity.
