2. Sightseeing at The Suspension Bridge
Just a short fifteen-minute stroll from The Washington Guesthouse will bring you to Clifton Village. From there, take a stroll and explore the historic Clifton Observatory and take in the views of the iconic Clifton Suspension Bridge.
3. Brunch and Window Shopping in Clifton
After taking in the sights, enjoy a coffee at one of Clifton Village’s many charming eateries, then enjoy a leisurely few hours browsing the boutique and second-hand shops.
4. Walk down to the Harbourside via Hotwells
After exploring Clifton Village, make your way down to the Harbourside, passing through the charming Hotwells area. This walk is downhill and takes you to the Harbourside.
5. Explore Mshed and Arnolfini
Take a scenic stroll around the Harbourside towards MShed and Arnolfini, and explore the two free museums once you arrive. There are many routes you can take; however, we recommend starting near Millennium Square and looping round past The Pumphouse, across the bridge and down the river, passing by The Cottage Inn, SS Great Britain and eventually ending up at Wapping Wharf and Mshed.
6. Dinner and Drinks at Wapping Wharf
End the day with dinner and/or drinks at one of the vibrant eateries in Wapping Wharf—the perfect spot to soak up the sun and enjoy the lively atmosphere! There are often deals available at the restaurants, and eating there is a bonus, as you are supporting local, independent business. Some of our favourites include: Salt & Malt, Cargo Cantina and Gambas. Click here to find out more about what's on at Wapping Wharf.
7. Bus back to The Washington Guesthouse
After your day exploring, a short walk will take you to the nearest city centre bus stop, from here you can catch a bus back up Park Street to the Clifton Down or Apsley Road stop, then enjoy a short five-minute walk back to the guesthouse or your own home for a good night's sleep!
